The District Public Grievance Monitoring System (DPGMS) was imagurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala on 09/04/2012. The software is used to monitor and redress the complaints addressed to the District Collector.

In a normal system the grievance addressed to the District Collector are sent to the concerned department and they take the decisions. But this sometimes leads to a situation where it is not possible to monitor the grievance properly, often departments takes no action and sometimes the action taken is not reported to DC. So the same person may visit the District Collector many times with the same grievance.

As a solution to this problem a new system called the District Public Grievance Monitoring System was introduced.This software enables the District Collector to monitor and take further action on the grievance received.The Software is developed by National Informatics Centre. Periodical review of all petitions received will be conducted in every month by District Collector.Initially, the system will be available in the District Collectorate through the Intranet and in the future it would be available through Internet facilitating online submission of grievance..
