        Sainik Welfare Department is functioning under The Kerala Government for the welfare and rehabilitation of Ex-servicemen and their dependents and to assist in solving the problems of the serving soldiers and their dependents. The head office of this department is situated at Thiruvananthapuram. Zila Sainik Welfare Office is the district level office functioning under the said department under the supervision of Zila Sainik Welfare Officer. The financial assistance to Ex-servicemen and their dependents for the welfare and rehabilitation of them are given through Amalgamated fund, State Military Benevolent Fund and District Military Benevolent Fund. All assistance provided to the Ex-servicemen and their dependents by Kendriya Sainik board are also possessing  through Zila Sainik Welfre office.
