Kerala Headload Workers Welfare Board
Kerala Headload workers Act 1978 was a landmark legislation with the objective of regulating the employment of headload workers, an unorganized section of working class, who possessed nothing except their physical ability and were not in the purview of any of the existed welfare laws. Act led them to the mainstream and resulted in the common good of the society.Under the provisions of the Act, Kerala Head load workers welfare Board was constituted. Now the day-to-day issues in the loading and unloading sector of the State is amicably managed and industrial peace is maintained by the instrumentality of the Board.
